Beltie Barn takes its name from our beloved herd of pedigree Belted Galloway cows. These black beauties are always pottering around in one of our fields. They are so gentle and calm, setting the pace of life at In The Vale.
We’ve made every effort to create a bespoke retreat, so you can really relax and enjoy your stay.
Beltie Barn has a seamlessly styled kitchen with everything you require including a Quooker hot water tap and Siemens appliances.
The stunning dining table was handmade by brothers Luke and Jack from an old sycamore tree that fell in a storm. We wanted to keep a piece of its 183 year life forever alive in our cottages, see if you can count all the rings!
There’s a cosy seating area with underfloor heating where you can relax. Will you be tempted to light the wood burner that is floating above the hearth? We’ll lay the first fire for you ready for when you arrive.
Up the bespoke staircase, on the mezzanine level, you’ll find your king size bed with crisp white linen and a spacious marble wetroom with a waterfall shower and pure lakes toiletries.
And while you will want for nothing inside… there is a special treat outside… a calming seating area and our super special cedar wood hot tub. It’s divine and once you have tried a real wood hot tub, there’s no going back. Sitting shoulder deep in the tub, you have clear views along the ridge of High Rigg and down St John’s In The Vale.
